Job Description

• Monitoring databases for proper performance
• Helping with database design and development
• Creating custom db scripts for sales/financial report
• Installing upgrades and maintain systems
• Managing security and report incidents
• Liaising with programmers, applications/operational staff, project managers and other technical staff
• Server configuration, migration, and other implementations
• Monitoring root cause analysis and resolutions
• Managing back-ups and recovery procedures
• Creating custom monitoring and maintenance plans
• Configuring PostgreSQL, Oracle and SQL servers
• Administering and testing new upgrades and databases
• Testing and modifying databases to ensure that they operate reliably
• Troubleshooting and resolve database problems

Job Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, computer science, engineering, or related field
• Three to four years PostgreSQL and Oracle database experience or database administration experience in a commercial environment or equivalent work experience
• Experience with any of the following: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Oracle OEM, Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008/2012, Centos, Linux
• Experience with database migration, performance tuning and optimization, and setting up and managing database connections
• Familiar with SQL Reporting services including creating, modifying, and managing custom reports
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills
• Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
